Common fixes
- Create Halo Speakers does nothing — It needs two or more Studio Displays connected. With one, or with other speakers, create the Multi-Output Device in Audio MIDI Setup and Halo will list it.
- I use other speakers, not Studio Displays — Open Audio MIDI Setup, press +, choose Create Multi-Output Device, tick your outputs, then right-click it and choose Use This Device for Sound Output. Halo picks it up.
- The two displays drift out of sync — Choose Rebuild Halo Speakers from Halo's menu. It recreates the aggregate with drift correction on.
- The keyboard volume keys do nothing — In the App Store version that is expected: it does not ask for accessibility access. Use Halo's slider or scroll on its menu-bar icon.
- I cannot find Halo — It lives in the menu bar only, with no Dock icon. Look for the speaker glyph near the clock. About Halo… in its menu shows the version.
